The Matrix

The movie The Matrix was something I have heard of but never knew what it was about. Going into it I knew it was some kind of futuristic movie, but not sure to what extent. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, even though I thought of it being slow at times. I kept watching it because I would throw out predictions, but they always ended up wrong so I was intrigued to see what the next thing would be.

I found it to be interesting that it was another movie on how reality is “just a dream.” I was not expecting that AT ALL while watching it. It made me think hard about my own reality and think if we really are in a simulation? Bleh, thinking about it hurts and it quite scary…

I wish they held off making the movie to make it more realistic when they had more and improved technology. I also wish they went more into how the matrix worked besides just saying “this is the matrix and we can move through it.” Also, how did they know the main character was the chosen one??? Did I miss something or was it not explained? Were they just expecting us to figure it out because he was a coder?

Overall, this was a great movie for our class. It involved lots of futuristic life forms as well as technology. I love these types of movies, ones that make you think, and I am looking forward to watching another one like this!
